Mardi Gras Dinner (2016); Menu, Details


It’s only the second week back (I know.. crazy, right?), but we already have our first special dinner lined up next Tuesday and boy, it’s a good one! Next Tuesday, February 9, at Garden Commons from 5-8 pm will be Mardi Gras Dinner, complete with unique Mardi Gras dishes and decorations!

While the event itself shouldn’t be a total surprise, the menu below should be. We are offering students a variety of Mardi Gras favorites like Gumbo, Red Beans & Rice, Étouffée, Shrimp & Grits, Jambalaya, Beignets and King Cake. All of which are well worth a visit to Garden Commons for dinner next Tuesday!

  • Fried Okra
  • Shrimp and Grits

Entrees and Sides

  • Tofu Jambalaya
  • Red Beans & Rice
  • Chicken Étouffée
  • Shrimp & Crayfish Boil with Red Potatoes and Corn
  • Blackened Tilapia
  • Cajun Baked Catfish
  • Chicken Tchoupitoulas (chicken with creamy ham, thyme and mushroom sauce)
